Honda FCX
The “green fuel” powered FCX is coming to a showroom near you ……

Honda have announced that the FCX, a hydrogen-electric powered car will be available in the U.S by 2008. While acknowledging that there are significant obstacles to bringing the FCX to the marketplace, Honda claim they will start leasing the cars to customers sometime in 2008. It is expected that the lease cost will be about $500 a month.

Is it a “zero emission” vehicle?
A Honda spokeperson said that, ” …. they will be clean. A hydrogen fuel cell vehicle is a zero emission vehicle.”
The hydrogen fuel tank in the FCX resides between the rear wheels. Hydrogen is fed to a fuel cell stack, located between the seats. The stack makes the electricity that powers the electric motor — that moves the car forward.
